Gain the understanding needed to finally make sense of lifelong challenges, uncover your strengths, and move forward with clear practical recommendations for support, so life can feel more manageable, connected and hopeful with lasting change.

ADHD Assessment Leatherhead

What feels confusing now can begin to make sense

For many people, seeking an ADHD assessment comes after years of self-doubt, frustration, or feeling as though they should somehow be coping better.

There is hope because understanding changes everything.

When your experiences are understood through a neuroaffirming lens, what once felt like personal failings can begin to make sense as differences in how you process the world around you. This shift often brings relief, self-compassion, and a renewed sense of possibility.

Our promise is to meet you as a whole person, not a checklist of symptoms.

We value your experiences, put understanding and relationships first, and approach every assessment with warmth, curiosity, and respect. By combining professional expertise with a holistic, neuroaffirming approach, we aim to lift the confusion, shame, and self-criticism you’ve likely carried alone for far too long.

Our goal is not simply diagnostic assessment.

It is helping you experience greater ease, confidence, connection, and clarity in the life you want to build.

ADHD Assessment Children

‘What if I’m just making excuses?’

Many adults and parents worry their struggles, or their child’s, are simply down to not trying hard enough.

You may fear being told there’s nothing wrong, or that your difficulties are somehow your fault.

We understand how vulnerable it can feel to seek answers.

Our specialist assessment providers offer compassionate ADHD assessments in Surrey and online, following NICE guidance to ensure a high-quality, thorough assessment process you can trust.

We see beyond symptoms to understand your experience. Whether or not ADHD is diagnosed, our goal is to provide meaningful clarity and thoughtful recommendations that support genuine change.

‘What if I’m misunderstood?’

Perhaps you’ve spent years trying to hide your difficulties, overcompensating, and being misunderstood.

You may worry your experiences won’t be understood or taken seriously.

We know how exhausting and hurtful that can be.

That’s why our ADHD assessment prioritise listening carefully, valuing your story, and understanding the person you are behind the difficulties. Following national clinical guidelines, our specialist assessment providers offer assessments that are both rigorous and compassionate.

We see the effort it has taken to get here, and we’re committed to helping you feel understood, respected, and supported.

‘What if nothing changes?’

Some people fear that even if they receive a diagnosis, it won’t lead to meaningful support.

Too often, assessments stop at the report.

Our approach is different.

We provide specialist ADHD assessments for adults and young people aged 6+ that are thorough, neuroaffirming, and future focused. Delivered by highly experienced clinicians, our assessments not only provide clarity, but help you understand what this means for daily life, relationships, education, work, and wellbeing.

Because a diagnosis isn’t the end of the conversation, we offer post-diagnostic feedback appointments to help you make sense of your report and consider options for support.

We care deeply about helping you move from understanding to action, to experience meaningful lasting changes for you and your life.

Helping You Go From Overwhelm to Clarity

You may have spent years working hard to keep everything together, trying to hide how difficult everyday life can feel beneath the surface, while quietly worrying that your struggles mean something is wrong with you.

Perhaps part of you fears being ‘found out’ - that others will discover your difficulties, and judge you for them.

These protective worries often develop from years of misunderstanding, masking, invalidation, and self-doubt.

We get how overwhelming and exhausting this can be, and our role is to make this assessment process feel clear, compassionate, and manageable.

We guide you gently through each step of the assessment, to help lift the weight of overwhelm you’re likely all too familiar with.

By creating space for genuine understanding, we help reduce exhaustion and uncertainty while opening up the possibility of something different ahead: greater self-trust, more ease in daily life, stronger relationships, and a future shaped by understanding rather than self-criticism.

Our assessment providers are here to help.

I am proud that my patients consistently experience me as a kind, compassionate, and attentive clinician who takes time to listen, understand individual needs, and develop thoughtful, personalised treatment plans.

  • After you get in touch, we’ll help you to arrange an initial 1-hour assessment. In the initial assessment, I would be looking at the current symptoms and difficulties, the history of them and considering all diagnosis and pathways of treatment. We also send some screening questionnaires prior to the appointment, which will also be discussed.

If ADHD is indicated in the initial assessment, then an ADHD Diagnostic Assessment can be booked as one of the next steps. An ADHD Assessment appointment is approximately 1-1.5 hours, followed by report writing and then a separate 20-30 minute follow up appointment to discuss the assessment outcomes and next steps.

As part of the assessment a parent or relative is asked to attend to provide collateral information. If a relative is unable to join please be aware an additional charge may be implemented to review written information received by them and integrated within the report.

*Please note an initial psychiatric assessment appointment will be required prior to an ADHD Diagnostic Assessment appointment being scheduled.

ADHD and ASC Assessments

Adults and Young People Aged 6+

📍 Leatherhead, Surrey

My name is Dr Vikky and I am a Chartered Psychologist and a Registered Clinical Psychologist. I have worked for over 30 years as a Clinical Psychologist so I have extensive experience in working with children, adolescents and families. I specialise in providing a comprehensive, individualised ADHD and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) assessment and diagnostic service.

I tailor all assessments to the individual, with the process being just as important as the outcome.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I draw on my expertise in neurodevelopment, mental health, and systemic factors to build a thorough understanding of each person’s strengths and challenges. This allows me to offer meaningful, practical recommendations for schools, workplaces, families, and the individual.

More About Dr Vikky

  • I work with children, adolescents, and adults who want to better understand how their brain works from a neurodevelopmental perspective.

I provide comprehensive, NICE-compliant ADHD assessments for children aged 6 and above, as well as for adults. I also offer ASC assessments for children aged 6–18, working collaboratively with a Speech and Language Therapist.

  • As a parent of a neurodivergent young person, I have first hand experience of the diagnostic system and am passionate about enabling the right support to be found. Having worked in an NHS neurodevelopmental assessment service, and undergone specialist training in the field of neurodiversity, I am able to provide a thorough and robust assessment. I work from a non-blaming, collaborative perspective, tailoring my work to suit individual needs and circumstances.

  • If you require a diagnostic ADHD / ASC assessment, we will have an initial conversation with you on the phone to check this seems to be the most appropriate route - this is completely free and you are under no obligation to book an assessment.

Once the assessment date is confirmed a number of questionnaires will be sent to be returned a week before the assessment appointment. If the assessment is for a child, then the school will also be contacted to provide information. If it is for an adult, then an informant who knows the individual well will be contacted.

The in-person appointment will last approximately 3 hours and will take place at my office in Leatherhead. The computerised QbCheck will form part of this meeting. Following this appointment you will be provided with a full report containing individualised recommendations. I have links with local private paediatricians, nurse practitioners and psychiatrists who I can direct you to if you would like to explore medication options and will prescribe on the basis of my diagnosis. These are separate services and will charge you accordingly. You can also use my reports to request referral onto NHS medication pathways.
